Hallo!I’m Alessandra and together with my husband and my two children, we
would like to tell you all about our Agro-Tourism property. Rufina is a
very nice estate on the Rufina’s hills of Tuscany. Our family has owned
these lands since the sixties and many things have changed since. The
vineyards, the olive groves our stable with the farmyard animals create a
perfect surrounding. A variety of flowers and fruit-trees adorn our
land. There is always a unique smell that comes from our big kitchen where
minestroni soups, stews and the exceptional bread, baked daily in our
wood-burning oven, add to the landscape. Farming is a hard life, perhaps
this is one of the reasons why our farmlands were abandoned, however is a
pure life.Our greatest desire is to bring you back in direct contact with
the nature, we are fully aware that this is a tough task and maybe very
difficult to achieve, for this reason, my family and I have decided to
restore our property and create some residences to share with you. The
vineyards, olive groves, the cellars and our farmhouse have been converted
into Agro-Tourism where our guests can relax and experience real farm
life.Our next dream-project is to create an apple orchard that will have a
little square with a spring fed fountain. In addition to this I would like
to make use of our property as a cultural point where we can offer wine
and food tasting, arts and exhibitions as well as educational activities,
this will differentiate us from all others agro-tourism operators. I
sincerely hope to succeed with the above-mentioned projects, RUFINA’s aim
is to establish harmony between guests and agro-tourism and by assigning a
fruit or a tree to our guests we would like to establish a long-distance
friendship so that you will always be part of our land. Thank-you and

* From “Firenze Sud”: take the direction to Pontassieve, carry on the highway 67
(Statale “SS” 67) on the way to Forli toward the 108, 9 Km.
* From Bologna: Exit at Barberino del Mugello, direction to Borgo S. Lorenzo –
Dicomano, Rufina.
* From Firenze Incisa: take the direction to Pontassieve, carry on the highway
SS 67 toward the 108, 9 Km.

By train:
* From Florence’s Railway Santa Maria Novella you can take another train from
Florence to Rufina.

By plane:
* From Firenze Peretola Airport take the bus transfer until the Florence’s
Railway Santa Maria Novella and proceed by train from Florence to Rufina.

We do recommend you consider renting a car to really enjoy our part of Tuscany
