Lopud is a very child friendly island, thera are no vehicles on Lopud, and it
has one of Croatia's best beaches Sunj (also nudist beach). There are
many small beaches around the island. Lopud is 4.6 km2, lush and green
and has many great hiking. We now draw a map of the island and will put
out some posts for Orienteering there in May 09, which could be a fun
activity for children and adults . Other activities: scroll. rent kayaks, diving,
cycling, playing sandvollyball or soccer against the local inhabitants. There
are about. 220 resident on the island, all very hospitable and friendly, they
like to invite you home to "schnapps", local wine, cheese, ham and olives
grown on the island. The food on Lopud is good and cheap, here are
several restaurants in different price ranges. Perhaps you fish you own
dinner! Here, the possibilities are many. We encourage all who plan to live
in the Dubrovnik area to live on Lopud and take day trips to the mainland
and Dubrovnik. Of course you need to see the old town of Dubrovnik, but
after having stepped in there among the thousands of cruise tourists who
daily visit, it is wonderful to retreat to the quiet and peaceful Lopud. You
live and eat very much cheaper on Lopud. Here is delicious temperatures in
both water and air in early May to late October. Are you looking for a quiet
vacation, a place where you lower your shoulders, this is definitely the

Wegbeschreibung

Norwegian fly cheap and often from most major cities in Norway. They fly
direct to Dubrovnik from late April to the end of October. This is a flight of
about 3 hours. Well arrive at the airport in Dubrovnik, one can take a taxi /
bus to the port of Gruz, a drive of about 20-30 minutes. From the harbor
Gruz has Jadrolinja with the charming ferry Postira 5 a day return trip to
Lopud. The trip out there takes about 50 minutes.
