Description

Our holiday cottage can be hired may till september. The 34
square meters consisting of kitchen, bathroom, living room
and bedroom cost from 350 € (including electricity and water)
a week. The cottage fits 2-4 persons, there is space for tents
also. Great for relaxing, enjoying, fishing, canoeing and much
more. The guest house is located on “Skagern-runt” (a 100
km trail) that was set up for biking, hiking and horseback
riding.

Location

The cottage is situated directly between the two lakes Vänern
and Vättern, also on a lake, the Skagern. The Skagern is one
of the best fishing lakes in Sweden at all and offers a range of
fish species. It ist 300 meters away. The house has access to
a small farm with garden, cats, rabbits, chickens and sheep.
Own adjoining forest, perfect for gathering mushrooms. 3 km
to the lake Vänern.

Kitchen: kettle, 2 hobs, sink, new fridge with small freezer,
coffee maker, kitchen furniture
Bedroom / living room: bunk bed for 3 people (top 80 cm
wide, below 120 cm wide), good sleeping sofa for 1 person,
wardrobe, table, chair
Bathroom: Wood on the walls, hot and cold running water,
shower, sink, mirror, compost toilet
Other: Electric heating, barbecue, garden furniture, parking
place.

Shopping

The nearest town is Gullspång, 10 km away. There is a
pharmacy, gas station, small retailers, a cinema, a draisine-
shop, a restaurant and a golf course.
There ist a fair twice a week. Anyone who loves fish, travels
to Otterbäcken.
The nearest major cities are Kristinehamn and Mariestad. Both
are located directly on lake Vänern about 40 km away.

Other

Bed linen and towels can be rented for a fee. You can buy
vegetables from our own garden, homemade jam, meat or
fresh fish of the Skagern (we must always see what the day
offers :-) ).

Places of interest

Nearby (40 km) are Karlskoga, Örebro, Kristinehamn,
Mariestad, Karlstad and Hova (the largest annual European
jousting). In addition, about 5 km away, stands the old
Church of Södra Råda. The 1310-built church was
one of the oldest preserved medieval wooden churches in
Sweden. As part of a project it ist going to be reconstructed
after a fire in November 2011. Interesting!

We hire the cottage on a weekly basis, a daily rental is
possible in exceptional cases on demand.

Season dates and weekly prices:

Low season (13.5 – 27.5., 2.9 – 30.9): 350 €
Mid season (27.5. – 17.6, 12.8 – 2.9): 400 €
Season (17.6 – 12.8): 450 €

Arrival: Saturday from 16 o’clock.
Departure: Saturday by 10 o’clock.
