The House
Here two families live comfortably. On the main floor is the large airy kitchen
with brand new joinery & furnishings inspired by the 50s. The kitchen has
everything you need for a comfortable holiday, built-in micro & oven, large
fridge & freezer, a hob, large work areas & a kitchen island where everyone can
gather to prepare lovely summer dinners. There is also a dining area with a
pull-out antique dining table with kitchen sofa and chairs. A built-in bench
along the beautiful paned windows invites you to a moment's rest - or perhaps
relaxation with a good book. This kitchen is really something out of the ordinary.

On this floor there is also a living room adjacent to the large kitchen. There
is a TV, armchair and a large sofa that can be made out for two people. From the
living room you come out on the terrace with a breathtaking view of meadow &
forest. On the balcony there is a dining furniture, and from here you can take
the stairs down to the lawn.

One bedroom with a double bed & a walk in closet and a fully tiled bathroom with
WC & shower are also on this floor, as well as a hall with plenty of room for
shoes & outerwear.

Upstairs
A beautiful old staircase leads up to the second floor. Here, the old floors
have been sanded and renovated. There are two beautiful bedrooms here, one with
a double bed and the other with 2 beds of 90 cm which can serve as another
double bed or pulled apart. This floor also has a fully tiled bathroom with WC &
shower.

The Basement
In the basement there will be a large laundry room with washing machine. From
here you can walk straight out to the garden with a whirligig.

The Plot & Surroundings
The house is located some kilometers in from the main road, on a smaller gravel
road. The plot is large with a huge lawn for play & games. Several fruit trees
are also found here, and behind the house, the property passes into forest. Here
you can find both blueberries and mushrooms. A path leads down to the bathing
area, it only takes 5-7 minutes to walk there.

“Moose & deer may visit!”

The house is located about 2.5 kilometers from Slussen where there is a guest
house, famous for its good food & all the great artists who entertain every
summer. Here you will also find Café Tillsammans (Together) with super good
coffee & lunch, mostly organic & vegetarian, they also have a small shop in the
same spirit. Sometimes a troubadour entertains on the outdoor terrace by the water.
In Slussen there is also a municipal bathing area with jetty, jumping tower &
changing room. For the nature enthusiast there is a nice bird tower just outside
Slussen where one can see many species that were more common in the past.

To do at Orust & Tjörn
The pilgrim trail at Orust is eight kilometers long and connects eight churches.
It runs in a loop and forms an eight, and is just one of many beautiful hiking
trails on the island. Tavlebord's honey farm where you and your children, in a
very educational way, can see how bees live and make honey. Here you can also
buy delicious “Fika” (coffee & pastries) and honey candies. Just next door is
Tavlebord's country store, which acts as a market hall where local producers
sell their food and crafts themselves. A day trip to car-free Gullholmen or
Käringön is a must, the ferries depart from Tuvesvik which is about 9 km from
Hälleviksstrand.
