If you’ve ever wondered how to repay the land that fed you, come to the
village of Župa Biokovska. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy the
fruits of love infused into the homeland. By building a villa and offering
it to you at disposal, the owner gives you a lot more than just walls. But
let’s go slowly.
Župa is the village in Dalmatian hinterland below the mountain of
Biokovo, an hour’s drive away from the city of Split. Between it and the
coast rises a mountain slope and, wherever you turn, you have a
magnificent view.
The house is located in a secluded place surrounded by mountain and
green areas carefully cultivated thanks to the local population that does
not forget where its roots are. It is just along the road, but without the
possibility of disturbing noise due to low traffic, you will have peace and
quiet.
As soon as you see it, you will think of comfort: garden made of laurel,
lavender and rosemary resting on green grass carpet, pool with deck
chairs and umbrellas, outdoor shower and a kitchen with a bathroom, a
fireplace … In all this you will enjoy on the covered terrace with sitting
set.
The interior is decorated with special care and excellent taste: a dining
room, kitchen and living room are one spacious room. Wooden furniture
and a blue leather sofa that can accommodate two people, two-seater
and armchair makes villa a family home, best for families with small
children, or groups of friends. On the ground floor is room with a double
bed and en suite shower room and a bathroom as a separate unit.
On the first floor, which boasts a balcony overlooking the mountain and
its foothill, there are two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. One is with
a double bed and the other with two, which can be connected. The villa
can accommodate up to 8 people.
If you have not realized that we have something special, now we will
dispel your doubts: owner of the villa has 10 hectares of vineyards in
the vicinity and we offer the possibility of touring by bikes and
participate in the grape harvest and making wine (varieties Pinot Gris,
derčina, krkeliš) in September.
In the wine cellar next to the house you will be able to try extra virgin
olive oil and fruits and vegetables also in owner’s production: tomatoes,
zucchini, artichokes, asparagus, potatoes, cherries, apples, figs…
Medjugorje (BIH) – an important place of pilgrimage and
encouragement for faith and spiritual life for many people and prayer
groups – is just 55 km away (1 hour by car). Since it’s situated in
Bosnia and Hercegovinia across the border, passport is required to visit
Medjugorje.
In the end we left the sweetest surprise: the entire estate and the
property is part of the Nature Park Biokovo in which operates Hunting
Association Rabbit from village Zagvozd because this area is inhabited by
rabbits, pheasants, quail, deer, wild boar…
I think you do not need further encourage for the arrival, but only from
the heart to say: welcome!
A security deposit of EUR 300 is required upon arrival for incidentals.
This deposit is fully refundable after check-out and subject to a damage
inspection of the accommodation.
